With her original sail preserved as part of her historic design, this old-school masterpiece now takes you on unforgettable whale watching tours.
What to expect:

Requirements:
- Suitable for all ages (children must be accompanied by an adult),
- Please bring sun protection (hat, sunscreen, sunglasses), water and a jacket for cooler weather at sea.
Sightings can’t be guaranteed:
Whales and dolphins are wild and free. To increase your chances, we work with trained spotters on land, but nature follows its own rhythm. Our goal is to offer a responsible, relaxed and enriching experience – always in harmony with the animals. Refunds for “no sightings” tours are not available.

We know it might seem unusual not to offer financial refunds if no whales or dolphins are seen. The reason is simple: we prioritize the well-being of the animals. Promising sightings or offering refunds based on them would create pressure on wildlife, which goes against our responsible approach to marine conservation.
When you join a tour with us, you are paying for much more than a chance to see whales and dolphins. Your ticket covers our expertise, safe and well-equipped boats, professional crew, fuel, and all the planning and care that make your journey on the sea possible.
Most of our tours do result in amazing sightings, but wildlife is unpredictable. Even if no animals appear, we are committed to giving you a wonderful experience, with breathtaking views of Madeira from the water and the chance to enjoy nature in its purest form.

Cancellation by the client:
- In case of a cancellation up to 48 hours before the tour the whole amount paid
will be refunded. - In case of a cancellation within 48 hours of the tour, the total amount is due.
- In any case: If the place can be sold to another person, the whole amount can
be refunded. This is done upon request of the canceling customer.
All tours depend on weather conditions & a minimum of 8 participants.
If the tour has to be canceled due to lack of participants you will be notified by text message or e-mail up to 3 hours before the start of the tour.
Cancellation by LOBOSONDA due to bad weather conditions:
- Should LOBOSONDA decide to cancel a tour due to bad weather conditions (this is a decision of the captain/spotter), this can be done up until the planned start of the tour. A new date is offered to the customer (rebooking).
- If this is not possible, the total amount is refunded to the client (in the same way the payment was made).
- In case LOBOSONDA needs to transfer the money back, the transfer fees (if applicable) will be charged to the customer.
