Welcome

W stands for Water, Whales, Whale Watching, Whale conservation, Wellness and for Welcome.

A lot of questions also begin in W… and if you don’t ask questions, you’ll never get any smarter!!!

WHERE is Madeira?

WHAT’s the history of Madeira island?

WHAT are cetaceans?

WHY do so many species of whales and dolphins pass Madeira?

WHERE does the name sperm whale come from?

lobosonda

We have tried to answer questions like these, and many more on our website.

If we turn the W upside-down, we get an M, as in Macaronesia, Madeira.

Welcome to our Madeira Whale Watching website!

Our regular trip times throughout the year are 9.30 am and 2 pm daily.

In the summer months we often make 3 trips a day at 9 am, 1:30 pm and 5 pm departing from Calheta marina.

Please make sure that you book in advance so that you are not disappointed. In the summer, we have many enquiries and bookings and in the winter we have less time to sail because of disruption from poor weather.

Night trips, sunset trips and chartering (hiring) the boat is possible if you give us reasonable notice

To contact us call: mobile phones: (00351) 96 8400 980 / (00351) 91 4710 259

You may e-mail us whalewatchingmadeira@gmail.com or info@lobosonda.com, for sure we will answer the next 24 hours. If not please contact a second time. Or you pass in our shop n the harbor of Calheta.

Prices and condition you’ll find here.
